As the President of the Homeowner’s Association, I am calling for a Special Meeting of the Members to conduct an election for all Director positions of the Association. In accordance with the bylaws, all members are hereby duly notified of this special meeting to be conducted on June 27, 2024 at a location to be announced. All members of the Association are strongly encouraged to vote for your chosen leaders for the balance of 2024.
The Association will conduct three (3) meet and greets so that members may meet and better understand the candidates choosing to run in the election. Candidates are required to attend, in person, two (2) of the three (3) to remain on the ballot. The tentative dates for these events are June 9, June 13, and June 17/18 at a location yet to be announced. Details will be published closer to the date of the event.
Things to consider when selecting and/or voting for your candidates.
Each position will be able to influence the direction and administer the business of the Association. While a quorum of the Board is required, each position is critical to shaping current application of our DCCRs and Bylaws in accordance with State Law.
The board should act responsibly, equitable, honestly, lawfully, and in the best interest of the Association in maintaining our property values and appearances.
The Board controls a significant amount of our funds therefore carries a substantial fiduciary responsibility. The Association currently has $299,706.52 invested in interest bearing CDs and $92,416.83 in Operating funds in our local bank.
Voting will be conducted in person at the meeting, by electronic proxy via email, facsimile, or online via the HOA website.
