a. From our recent survey, we learned there are a significant number of homeowners (for whatever reason) that do not use or pay attention on a regular basis to either the Social Chisholm Ranch Estates (CRE) Facebook page or the CRE HOA Facebook page. To reach these and all our homeowners, we simply needed a better, more reliable means of communication. From the HOA Board/Communications Committee standpoint, one of our biggest goals is to encourage the greatest number of homeowners to be better informed as a homeowner in our community. Most people today will visit a website to get information, whereas quite a few will not engage in social media, because often responses on social media deal in opinion versus actual fact.
b. Comparatively, an HOA website has a stronger capability of improving the visibility in, not only in the homeowner community, but within the community at large. Although we do employ a management company, Guardian Management, a dedicated and branded CRE website is also better equipped than social media to do things like,
i. dues collection,
ii. address violation issues/fines,
iii. blast communications,
iv. online elections and
v. polls/surveys,
vi. HOA Sponsored social events,
vii. vendor recommendations,
viii. HOA Committee Communications,
ix. and document storage for archival purposes. c. An HOA website also has the power to help increase the resale of your property when the time comes.
